Learn to cook with me
I’m Alexis Thompson and after an appearance on Masterchef a few years ago, I was galvanised to do what was in my heart and pursue a career in food. I took my Cordon Bleu Diploma at Gordon Ramsay’s Tante Marie Cookery School, I’ve written a regular food column, judged food and restaurant awards and presented a weekly radio feature. I’ve even cooked for royalty at Kensington Palace. Most of all I’m passionate about cookery and good food and I’d love to share that with you.
Dancing Trousers is based right on the border of Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire – in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds. It’s easy to reach from Oxford, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Swindon and further afield.
The cookery school is based in my own kitchen, it’s a friendly, welcoming space with plenty of comfy chairs and cook books for your to peruse while you’re enjoying your coffee break – with home made cake and biscuits of course!

All our courses are fully hands-on and we all sit down afterwards with a well-deserved glass or two of wine to enjoy the fruits of our labours.
We also love working with small businesses for cookery-based team days. Who needs abseiling with Barry from accounts? Make a souffle with Barry instead!
